Drive times are typically 20–30 minutes from Sanur or central Denpasar and about 30–45 minutes from Seminyak. If your priority is a private, unhurried start to the evening rather than the shortest possible transfer from Nusa Dua, Serangan is frequently the better call. Sanur: for east-coast guests and beach-style departures

Sanur’s beach launch is the natural pick if you are staying in Sanur itself, or coming down from Ubud — the drive from central Ubud to Sanur is usually 60–90 minutes, noticeably shorter than pushing on to Benoa in evening traffic. The character is different: many Sanur departures are beach or jetty boardings onto smaller vessels, which suits a barefoot, low-key sunset sail more than a formal dinner cruise. One honest caveat: Sanur faces east, so boats motor around toward the strait to find the western horizon, and captains plan the route so you are positioned before the light peaks.
