Is Serangan better than Benoa?

For a day charter on a catamaran or motor yacht, usually yes — the crossing is shorter, the harbour is less congested and boarding is quicker. For anything above motor-yacht class, or any passage needing clearance, Benoa is the only option.

Can we reach the Gili Islands from here?

Yes, at 5.7 to 6.2 hours, and it is planned as an overnight the same way. Benoa is marginally quicker and holds the clearance advantage.

Does the tide matter?

No. Serangan is all-tide, so unlike Sanur there is no morning-only window.

How early should we arrive?

Fifteen to twenty minutes. It is the quickest of the three to get from the car park onto a boat.

Dedicated charter berths

Built for this rather than adapted to it. Embarkation and disembarkation are quicker than at a working commercial port.

Strategic position

Just south of Denpasar, north of Benoa. Often faster from Seminyak, Canggu and Sanur than Benoa is.

Less congestion

A more streamlined boarding than Benoa on a busy morning, which matters most for family and group charters.
