A dining saloon laid up aboard a charter vessel

About & contact

What we publish, and what we take back.

Every figure on this site carries a date because sunset moves, tides move and rates move. This page says how they get checked and what happens when one is wrong.

2026

A figure without a date is not a fact, it is a memory. Everything measurable here carries one.

  • Claims checked against primary sources where they exist.
  • What is not confirmed is labelled as not confirmed.
  • Corrections are made in place and noted.
  • Nothing is presented as verified that is not.

The workflow

How a page gets to publication

Three steps, and the third is the one most sites skip.

Charter vessel under way

Research

Figures taken from operators, harbour authorities and the desk own bookings rather than from other travel sites.

A saloon laid up aboard

Verification

Anything measurable is checked before it is published, and anything that cannot be checked is written as an estimate rather than a fact.

Updates and corrections

Pages are revised when the underlying figure moves. A correction is made in place, not quietly deleted.

Found something wrong?

Tell the desk. A figure that has moved gets corrected in place, and you will have done every later reader a favour.
